Analysis of internal medicine emergency management and nursing intervention for hypokalemia

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of emergency nursing measures in patients with hypokalemia. Methods: A total of 89 patients with hypokalemia in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups from June 2014 to April 2016. A total of 44 patients in the control group received the routine treatment. Meanwhile, 45 patients with hypokalemia in the study group received the internal medicine emergency treatment depending on the specific situation and targeted nursing intervention. The effective rates, degree of satisfaction, and negative emotions were compared between the patients in the two groups. Results: The effective rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), and the difference was significant (P<0.05). Furthermore, the negative emotions on admission were not significantly different between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the self-rating depression scale and self-rating anxiety scale scores of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The average serum potassium concentration of the study group before emergency treatment (2.11 ± 0.23 mmol/L) significantly increased after emergency treatment (3.82 ± 0.53 mmol/L) (t=12.211, P<0.05). Moreover, the serum potassium concentration of the control group before emergency treatment (2.13 ± 0.28 mmol/L) significantly rose after emergency treatment (2.76 ± 0.32 mmol/L) (t=5.211, P<0.05). However, the improvement of serum potassium concentration of the study group was significantly superior to that of the control group (t=4.354, P<0.05). Conclusion: By detailed internal medical emergency treatment combined with targeted nursing, one can improve the curative effect and negative emotions in hypokalemic patients. Hence, the developed management approach is worth promoting

Abstract: This paper discusses two traceback algorithms for Viterbi decoder. The realization methods for the traceback algorithms with FPGA are given through optimization for the hardware architecture. The comparison between the two realization methods is given. Finally, the two realization methods are applied to Viterbi decoder, and both simulation and hardware test show that the presented implementation methods are correct.
Target Gene and Function Prediction of Differentially Expressed MicroRNAs in Lactating Mammary Glands of Dairy Goats

Abstract: MicroRNAs are small noncoding RNAs that can regulate gene expression, and they can be involved in the regulation of mammary gland development. The differential expression of miRNAs during mammary gland development is expected to provide insight into their roles in regulating the homeostasis of mammary gland tissues. To screen out miRNAs that should have important regulatory function in the development of mammary gland from miRNA expression profiles and to predict their function, in this study, the target genes of differentially expressed miRNAs in the lactating mammary glands of Laoshan dairy goats are predicted, and then the functions of these miRNAs are analyzed via bioinformatics. First, we screen the expression patterns of 25 miRNAs that had shown significant differences during the different lactation stages in the mammary gland. Then, these miRNAs are clustered according to their expression patterns. Computational methods were used to obtain 215 target genes for 22 of these miRNAs. Combining gene ontology annotation, Fisher’s exact test, and KEGG analysis with the target prediction for these miRNAs, the regulatory functions of miRNAs belonging to different clusters are predicted. 1. Introduction MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are endogenous ~22?nt?RNAs that play an important role in regulating gene expression through sequence-specific base pairing with target mRNAs in animals and plants [1]. In animal cells, most studied miRNAs are formed into imperfect hybrids with sequences in the mRNA 3′-untranslated region (3′-UTR) and regulate cell development, cell proliferation, cell death, and morphogenesis [2, 3]. The key to understanding the miRNA regulatory mechanism is the ability to identify their regulatory targets. Computational prediction methods have developed into important approaches for obtaining these regulatory targets [4–6]. In plants, many miRNA targets can be predicted with confidence simply by searching for mRNAs with extensive complementarity to the miRNAs [7]. However in animals, miRNA target prediction is more difficult because of the incomplete complementary of the miRNA with its target, leading to many false predictions [4, 8]. TargetScan predicts biological targets of miRNAs by searching for the presence of conserved 8mer and 7mer sites that match the seed region of each miRNA [9]. PITA can predict miRNA targets in consideration of mRNA secondary structure [10]. miRGen is an integrated database that contains animal miRNA targets according to combinations of six target prediction programs. Abstract: 2002~2003年长白山火山区的水平运动缺乏中心对称性分布特征,本文采用同一深度沿三个互相垂直方向拉张的点源模式模拟了长白山火山区的岩浆囊压力变形源. 在介质参数为Vp=6.700 km/s,Vs=3.8700 km/s,ρ=2900 kg/m3的均匀弹性半空间中, 联合利用2002~2003年长白山火山区的GPS观测数据和水准数据,结合PSGRN/PSCMP代码和遗传算法反演长白山火山区的压力变形源特征. 反演结果表明,由三个垂直的不等量扩张方向确定的椭球状点源模型可以较好地模拟长白山火山区岩浆囊压力变形源. 岩浆囊深处9.2 km,在走向为34.4°,倾角为82.2°的断层面的法向方向体积扩张量最大,达到7000000 m3;在走向为302.8°,倾角为78.5°的断层面的法向方向体积扩张量次之,达到6598071 m3;在走向为337.7°,倾角为14.0°的断层面的法向方向体积扩张量最小,达到5220160 m3.

UGT74D1 Is a Novel Auxin Glycosyltransferase from Arabidopsis thaliana

Abstract: Auxin is one type of phytohormones that plays important roles in nearly all aspects of plant growth and developmental processes. The glycosylation of auxins is considered to be an essential mechanism to control the level of active auxins. Thus, the identification of auxin glycosyltransferases is of great significance for further understanding the auxin regulation. In this study, we biochemically screened the group L of Arabidopsis thaliana glycosyltransferase superfamily for enzymatic activity toward auxins. UGT74D1 was identified to be a novel auxin glycosyltransferase. Through HPLC and LC-MS analysis of reaction products in vitro by testing eight substrates including auxins and other compounds, we found that UGT74D1 had a strong glucosylating activity toward indole-3-butyric acid [IBA], indole-3-propionic acid [IPA], indole-3-acetic acid [IAA] and naphthaleneacetic acid [NAA], catalyzing them to form corresponding glucose esters. Biochemical characterization showed that this enzyme had a maximum activity in HEPES buffer at pH 6.0 and 37°C. In addition, the enzymatic activity analysis of crude protein and the IBA metabolite analysis from transgenic Arabidopsis plants overexpressing UGT74D1 gene were also carried out. Experimental results indicated that over-production of the UGT74D1 in plants indeed led to increased level of the glucose conjugate of IBA. Moreover, UGT74D1 overexpression lines displayed curling leaf phenotype, suggesting a physiological role of UGT74D1 in affecting the activity of auxins. Our current data provide a new target gene for further genetic studies to understand the auxin regulation by glycosylation in plants.

Abstract: The static network shortest path algorithms have been developed thoroughly,whereas the studies for dynamic network shortest path algorithms are few.To satisfy the need of theoretical research and application,the dynamic network shortest path problems have been a hot spot in the field of geographic information science and computer science.When the weights of the network are functions with parameter,the network is called a dynamic network,in which it is difficult to resolve shortest path by the traditional algorithms.In this paper,we first propose the shortest path problem in a multi-stage weighted network with quadratic parameter.Next,we give the implicit enumerative labelling algorithm to look for the shortest path of this network based on the thought of the Dijkstra algorithm and the implicit enumerative method.Finally,we analyse the complexity of the algorithm.The theory analysis and the experiment indicate that the algorithm is not polynomial but effective for proper scale of the network.

Abstract: Using temperature-dependent viscosity and considering depth difference between oceanic plate and continental plate, we discuss numerically the possible geodynamical process for tomography results in NE China with convergence velocity of Pacific plate and Eurasian plate and multiple trench retreating models. The results from our models show that trench retreat is necessary for reproducing the flat lying slab as observed by tomography under NE China. Occurrence of lying slab on 660 km phase change boundary is mainly due to the higher viscosity contrast between lower mantle and upper mantle. The subduciton of the Pacific plate to Eurasian plate is most likely to have occurred before 70 Ma B.P., the trench retreating velocity is probably variable but must be less than 45mm/a, which is estimated by some geologists. As to the reason of trench retreat, our simulation results indicate that the possible force for trench retreat is the eastward asthenospheric flow and pushing effect under the continental lithosphere, which may be related to India-Eurasia collision, so the extensional tectonic features must be attributed to the total effects of India-Eurasia collision and Pacific-Eurasia convergence.
